History

Comcar was founded in 1953 through the launch of Commercial Carrier Corporation (now known as CCC Transportation) as the first step to hauling products. CCC grew in size as more trucks were added, new terminals were built and it diversified into more industries. Today, CCC is a bulk carrier that also includes dry van and intermodal.

1985 – Comcar acquired the predecessor to what is now CTL Transportation (CTL), its liquid bulk chemical carrier.

1986 – Comcar acquired the predecessor to what is now CT Transportation (CT), its fladbed carrier that specializes in construction materials.

1988 – Comcar acquired the predecessor to what is now MCT Transportation (MCT), which primarily hauls refrigerated and dry van commodities over-the-road.

2016 – Comcar Industries was acquired by private investment, keeping the company one of the largest privately-owned in the transportation industry.
